Entries must be between 30 seconds and 3 minutes.
Avoid depictions of neck braces, as they are not recommended for use with whiplash injuries.
The footage, music and sound used must all be original or in the public domain
Contestants must apply within the most appropriate category. Categories include:
- Reference that the risk of whiplash injuries can be reduced by up to 35% by properly adjusting head restraints whenever anyone gets into a vehicle.
- Visually demonstrate how the head restraint in a vehicle should be adjusted.
Contestants under 18 years of age must have an adult (18+) representative.
Contestants must be residents of British Columbia.
Contestants are responsible for providing the equipment necessary to produce the video
Contestants must submit an Entry Form as well as submit a video in order to qualify for prizes. We recommend you submit your Entry Form early to show your intent to submit a video.
The entry cannot have been previously submitted in a promotion/contest or have been exhibited or displayed through any means
All participants who plan to appear in the video should fill in a completed video release form. A parent or guardian (ie. “Entry Representative”) is required to also sign for all those under the age of 18. They consent to be involved in the contest and are happy to appear on the Internet and in promotional, publicity, PR and communications material related to the Whiplash Prevention Campaign
All videos submitted become the property of CIRPD and its partners
By entering this contest, and to the extent allowed by law, all entering group members grant CIRPD, its partners, and marketing companies acting on their behalf, permission to edit, modify, cut, copy, reproduce, translate, adapt, publish, exploit, and use the video in any manner, and for any purpose, without notice, approval or compensation
The entry must not contain material that is inappropriate, indecent, obscene, hateful, defamatory, slanderous or libellous
The entry must not contain material that promotes bigotry, racism, hatred or harm against any group or individual or promotes discrimination based on race, sex, religion, nationality, disability, sexual orientation or age
The entry cannot contain material that violates or infringes another’s rights, including but not limited to privacy, publicity or intellectual property rights, or that constitutes copyright or license infringement
We reserve the right to change contest rules and dates.

Secondary students include any student enrolled in secondary school in British Columbia.
Post-secondary students include any student enrolled in college or university in British Columbia.
Professionals are defined as people living in British Columbia who are or have been paid for their video production work.
